Card Preparation Guidelines

Follow these steps before submitting to help prevent damage during shipping and reduce processing delays.

1

Put Each Card in a Clear Penny Sleeve

Use clear sleeves only — not opaque or colored ones, which can cause processing delays. Slide each card gently into the sleeve to avoid bending.

2

Insert the Sleeved Card into a Semi-Rigid Holder

PSA specifically requires a semi-rigid holder (Card Saver I style) — not a top loader. For standard cards, use semi-rigid size 3 5/16″ × 4 7/8″.

3

Do NOT Add Tabs, Tape, Labels, or Writing

No pull tabs, tape, sticky notes, labels, stickers, or writing on the Card Savers. PSA's shipping guide explicitly warns against these — they can delay or complicate the grading process.

4

Sandwich the Stack Between Cardboard Dividers

Place your stacked cards between two cardboard dividers and secure them with 2–3 rubber bands. Bands should be tight enough to prevent shifting but not so tight they damage the cards.

5

Bubble Wrap the Bundle & Use a Sturdy Box

Wrap the entire bundle in bubble wrap and place it inside a new, sturdy shipping box. Fill all empty space with padding so nothing moves in transit. PSA recommends new boxes for best protection.

6

Include Your Contact Information

Add a note inside the box with your name, email, phone number, and the total number of cards you are sending. This ensures we can match your shipment to your submission.

7

Fill Out Our Form & Ship to Us

Complete our short online submission form, then ship the package to the address provided. We'll take it from there!

Important: If cards arrive and do not meet the above specifications, a $2.00 service fee per card may apply to cover additional handling and preparation.
